Welcome to FMT Shipyard & Repair. FMT Shipyard & Repair is strategically located at 3640 Peters Rd. Harvey, La between the Mississippi River and the Intracoastal Waterway – ¼ mile north of Boomtown Casino on the Harvey Canal. FMT Shipyard has assembled a core management group to oversee all shipyard operations and has recruited the best workforce in the industry.

The Shipyard operates as a full service, 24 hour repair yard comprised of the newest equipment in the industry, including three new floating dry-docks. Our dry-dock capabilities consist of two 3,000 ton capacity docks measuring 250’ x 73’ (63′ between the walls) x 18′ each and one 1,100 ton capacity dock measuring 100’ x 70’ (60′ between the walls) x 16’. Each dry-dock is equipped with state of the art control houses and a 225 KW Genset, making these dry-docks self-sufficient and operational during power outages. We also have 100 ton and 150 ton Manitowoc Crawlers & 150 ton cranes with 150’ of boom to provide vessels with crane service, cherry pickers, bobcats, man lifts, forklifts, and trucks to maneuver material throughout the facility.

In addition to our floating dry-docks, FMT Shipyard offers 29.5 acres of land and 2,670’ of waterfront for all topside repair needs. The entire facility has been outfitted with new services including: Electrical, gas, oxygen, compressed air and water. Other features of the yard include 10,000 sq. ft. of indoor warehouse space for shipyard inventory as well as customer storage, 4,000 sq. ft. of covered open air storage, a new tool room designed to keep production workers on the job, a 100’ x 60’ screened-in blast yard meeting DEQ standards, an outside fabrication area, a 2,000 sq. ft. mechanic shop, a 7,500 sq. ft. machine shop, and a 4000 sq. ft. aluminum fabrication shop. FMT Shipyard also offers a field service truck to meet vessels on the waterfront for quick repair jobs.
